Support your mind. Nourish your growth.

Therapy focused on helping you to better understand your mind, soften self-criticism, and move toward meaningful change.

Welcome! I’m glad you found me.

I’m Elizabeth and I’m a licensed mental health counselor providing virtual therapy to adults across Rhode Island who are looking for support with ADHD, anxiety, self-esteem, and depression.

My style of therapy has been described as warm, genuine, and down-to-earth. I provide a space that feels supportive and grounded, where we can face the hard stuff together and most importantly, with compassion.

The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.
— Carl Rogers

My Therapy Approach

I have found my approach to be best suited to those who want to better understand themselves and are ready to take meaningful steps toward the life they want to live.

I use ACT, Compassion-Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients build psychological flexibility, self-compassion, and awareness of their thoughts and emotions.

Let’s Work Together On

  • Tired of being told to buy a planner or calendar? You might feel scattered, frustrated, or like you’re constantly falling behind. In therapy, we’ll explore how the neurodivergent brain works best and build strategies that actually fit your life, while also addressing the emotional toll ADHD can take.

  • Anxiety shows up in many ways, racing thoughts, trouble sleeping, or a constant sense of unease. In our work together, we'll gently explore what's beneath the anxiety and use practical tools to help you feel more grounded, present, and in control.

  • Low self-esteem can feel like you're never quite enough. Maybe you’re finding yourself second-guessing decisions, uncomfortable in a social setting or struggling to feel confident in who you are. Together, we'll work to quiet the inner critic, build self-compassion, and help you reconnect with your strengths so you can show up as you.

  • When you're living with depression, even small tasks can feel overwhelming. It’s more than just feeling sad, it can leave you feeling stuck, disconnected, or numb. Together, we’ll work to understand what’s weighing you down and take gentle, manageable steps toward reconnecting with yourself and what brings you meaning.

Phone Consultation

This free initial phone consultation is a chance for us to connect and talk about what’s bringing you to therapy. You’re welcome to share what you’re looking for, ask any questions, and get a feel for how I work. It’s an opportunity to see if we’re a good fit!

Intake Session

Our first session will be a little more structured than our weekly sessions. We'll go over any questions you have about the therapy process, practice policies and talk through some important background information. It’s also a chance for me to get to know you, not just what’s bringing you to therapy, but who you are as a whole person. We’ll explore what you’re hoping to gain from therapy and the issues you’d like to work through together.

Sessions

I believe that a strong, trusting relationship is the foundation of effective therapy, so creating a space where you feel supported and understood will be an important part of helping you reach your therapeutic goals. To start, we’ll meet once a week. Meeting weekly in the beginning helps build rapport and momentum which is important for making progress. As you start to reach your goals, we will reassess frequency and gradually move to meeting less often if appropriate.
